For those of you who are not traveling far from your kitchen to our wedding, the gift we would love most is something delicious you've made to share at our semi-potluck celebration.  Karen's sister, Sue Ellen, has offered to coordinate all of the dishes - so please let her know if you're planning to bring something and what that something might be - email: sk8rsue8@hotmail.com or phone: (253)653-8666.  She can tell you what we need more of if you'd like inspiration.  We have lots of good cooks coming to the wedding, so if cooking isn't your thing, don't worry (there will be plenty of food).

For those of you coming from out of town, just getting yourself to our wedding seems like a fine present to us.  However, if you're really set on giving us stuff, here are some ideas: anything you've canned (jam, pickles, peaches...yum), a bottle of wine (or beverage you've brewed yourself - we pay great respect to homebrew), credit towards our farm share (this is a delicious AND practical gift - just call Helsing Junction Farm and they can take care of it: 360-273-2033), or something else that you've made.  We also have lots of stuff to frame, so gift certificates for Framesmith (206-281-8555) would be awesome.  We are constantly making trips to Second Use ( 206-763-6929) and Lowe's for our never-ending house projects, so gift certificates to either store would also be very useful.  We're also saving up for a trip to see all of Scott's nieces and nephews in England as part of our honeymoon, and Karen's mom (Joan) has volunteered to manage the plane ticket fund - if you'd like to contribute, find her at the wedding or contact her at jgharrismt@msn.com .  If none of the above strikes your fancy, we have actually registered for some actual stuff at the following places:

REI
Macy's
Pottery Barn

Alternatively, a donation in our name to any of our regional environmental or cycling organizations would be greatly appreciated.

One more idea: use NativeEnergy's travel calculator to offset the CO2 emissions you used to get to our wedding.  What could be better?
